1979 Porsche 930 Turbo

The 930 Turbo was made purely as a road car to help homologate the 934 race car. All of the contemporary creature comforts were included, along with a turbocharged 3.2 liter flat six-cylinder motor, generating 300 horsepower and a top speed of 163 mph. The main identifying features of the Turbo were the "whale tale" rear spoiler for more down-force and the widened wheel flairs to accommodate the greater tire width needed to keep the rear end of the car in the appropriate location.
